A huge energy reserve lies under the Icelandic seas.

It all began one month ago when a junior scuba diver, S.J., 17, came back from one of his missions covered by sticky black liquid. Scientists first thought it was the effect of Pepsi Cola and peanut butter that had possibly been floating from the United States to Europe through the Atlantic Ocean.

Then truth was revealed. The melting ice caps unexpectedly uncovered big natural oil reserves , thus attracting new attention on to fossil fuels, almost forgotten as a resource of energy.

Yesterday morning, in New York, UN Secretary spokesman clarified that last discoveries won’t change the world energy supply situation to any extent.
At night, a paparazzi caught Sheik Moustafa and Henry Shell, last heir of the impoverished oil dynasty, having dinner together at Pino’s.

Yesterday, Shamas, a 40 m wide and 25 m high magnifying lens, has been installed outside N’djamena, Chad’s capital, by visionary architect Papis Déby. The infrastructure is aimed to store a a big amount of sunrays and redirect them towards the city, thus powering most of the houses with solar power.

After the massive anti-malaria net built in 2042 to protect the city, Shamas is the second part of the huge urbanistic plan intended to revolution Chad’s people life. Next problem Papis Déby wants to solve is the plastic bags carpet that covers most of the Sahara surface. Rumors say he wants to recycle it to build a plastic olympic stadium.

Starting today, the Amazonic League is the United Nation Security Council fifth permanent member.

The US have been declassed one month ago to non-permanent member due to its obesity rates, its slowness in converting to fossil fuels and its excessively servile obedience to Iran foreign policy dispositions. The Amazonic League has been chosen over Italy and Saudi Arabia for the huge amount of natural resources at its disposal.

From its hut in the Brazilian forest, and thanks to a webcam able to capture images and smells, Kayapo tribe’s chief Kremoro commented the decision: “It was time to get rid of the past. I knew it was going to happen soon. I had a dream two nights ago: I was sailing down the Amazon river on a wooden canoe together with the Russian Prime Minister. Ahead, everything was bright. I will write an email to him today. It’s clear that the forest gods wants us to do something together”.

Sharuk Gandhi Kathri, India Prime Minister, announced at 3 o’clock today that the country has reached its independency from fossil fuels.

As a result of a plan started 20 years ago for alternative energy research and development, India in these years has managed to make the best of the great amount of natural resources located on its territory. Kathri explicitly dedicated the historical achievement to the September 2042 Kerala victims. “Friends and relatives we lost in the tsunami are still in our hearts. We can’t get them back but yes we can build a better world for their grandchildren.”

Message to the Nation released on NOVA Tv by Dutch Minister for Foreign Affairs and Floods, Ries Van Annechien

“Citizens, Friends, we (The Netherlands) are experiencing one of the most turbulent times our country has ever endured. For the safety of all, I beg you to be united and follow these emergency instructions.

In response to the tragic events that brought about the sinking of Rolendam village, I advise each coastal inhabitant to immediately evacuate their homes and offices. All evacuees will be provided with an anti-catastrophe kit, containing safety instructions and supplies intended for use during sudden increases in sea-levels. Those who want to remain in their floatable domiciles should know they do this at their own risk.

I recommend all remaining Dutch citizens to stay at home, continue guarding your books in impermeable boxes and limit the consumption of drugs in order to be sufficiently conscious, in the event of potential emergency evacuations.”

Excerpt from the Tasman Bay Post

Today marks Nelson’s second day of revisiting the Middle Ages. The city is known worldwide for being the first and only city to be completely powered by footfall energy, transforming the movement of the people in the streets into usable power.
Since a mutation of the Asian flu infected the city, 80 percent of Nelson’s people are forced to remain in bed, unable to move, meaning the city is without electricity. Washing machines, TVs, computers, lights, ovens: everything is out of order.

From her bed and in a very weak voice, the Footfall Energy Committee Secretary Krystal Marshall has proclaimed the state of emergency, calling for help to national authorities. “I have to say the sky is wonderful in these nights, though”, she concluded, with renewed optimism.

This morning, in a schizophrenic alternance of rain and sun, Tarifa and Tanger’s mayors met in the middle of the Strait of Gibraltar for the official opening of the Hercules Bridge, the biggest infrastructure ever erected by mankind, that will connect Africa and Europe.

The Hercules Bridge, created by architects Michael Brownmart and Mill McDonald (the last heir of the famous fastfood chain family) is the biggest object ever built using the upcycling technique.

Before being a bridge, the Hercules Bridge has been, amongst other things, a mountain of trash and an airstrip.

From The Next Time

Be prepared for a long queue because today you will be amongst the billions of people going to their bank, exchanging their currency for karbons.

Yesterday, after two and a half years of consultations and international meetings, World Bank President Miss Ayuba Stuart approved the CDET (Carbon Dioxide Economy Treaty), previously signed by all the world countries, except for Palestine and Trinidad and Tobago.

It’s the first time in history that almost all the world trade will use the same currency. Invented by philosopher Marc Benitez, the karbon is based on the quantity of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere because of a product or service.
